Who should consider volunteering with the Light of Maasai:

By immersing yourself into a different culture, you will have the opportunity to experience personal development, improved self-esteem, self-confidence and life satisfaction, you are likely to feel a sense of empowerment and develop a sense of global citizenship

Volunteering is very different to being a tourist because you will spend a significant amount of time in the Rombo region and you will be working on a daily basis with local people. This is an invaluable opportunity to learn about a different culture and develop an understanding of the issues facing those who are less fortunate than yourself

Paying to Volunteer
Volunteers pay a fee which covers their food and accommodation and the balance
goes to the local community Light of Maasai projects.
​Many people do not have the money to feed their families properly, afford health care,
or send their children to school. The communities in our region are in need of
infrastructure, support and education. Communities are therefore are unable to pay
or provide financial support to foreign volunteers who come and assist.
